MACON - Greater Atlanta Christian won its second straight and tenth state championship, getting 23 points from Georgia signee Sherill Baker in a 55-43 win over Paideia in the Class AA girls championship Friday. <br>

After the two teams played to a 22-all tie in the first half, Greater Atlanta Christian (29-3) outscored the lady Pythons 15-3 in the third period. Paideia (28-7) never got closer than nine points. <br>

Katie Beth Pate scored 12 points for the Lady Spartans and Krista Watson added 11. Amy Levin scored 14 for Paideia.
