GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville College <br>
2001-2002 Colloquium Series ends with a presentation by Author Scott Brunner <br>
about his second book, Carryin' On And Other Strange Things Southerners Do, on Monday, noon in the Gainesville College Continuing Education/Performing Arts Center Auditorium. <br>

Brunner is a commentator for NPR's "All Things Considered" and his books are collections of delightful essays about life in the South. <br>
<br>
Subjects of his essays range from a poetic meditation on pole beans to a dictionary of <br>
Southern slang. His writings celebrate the culture, the food, the eccentricities, the habits, the spirit and the talk of the American South. <br>
<br>
A native of Alabama, Brunner has lived all his life in the South. Brunner will read selections from his books and speak about his writings.
