MARIETTA - Fire crews have rescued a construction worker trapped in a trench that collapsed at an elementary school in east Cobb County. <br>

Cobb County Police spokesman Brody Staud says the worker became trapped around 8 a.m. Friday while working on an addition at Tritt Elementary School. <br>

The worker, who was buried up to his shoulders in the trench, was freed about 2 p.m.
