OAKWOOD- West Hall lineman J.R. Haynes will get a chance to continue his football career along with his education.<br>

Haynes, who helped the Spartans into the AAAA playoff the last two seasons, Thursday signed a grant-in-aid with Cumberland College out of Williamsburg, Kentucky.<br>

In a different kind of "football" on the girls' side, West Hall soccer players- forward Katie Wood, midfielder Ashley Parker, forward Jessica Williams, and midfielder Tara Huffman- have said they will play on.<br>
<br>
Wood and Parker are reported to have committed to Piedmont College in Demorest, while Williams and Huffman have apparently decided to walk on at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega.<br>
