GAINESVILLE - Funeral services are planned Thursday for former Hall County Commissioner Jesse Gillespie who died Monday following an extended illness. <br>

Gillespie was well-known in the community for his work with the American Legion. He served three terms as Commander of American Legion Post #7.<br>
<br>
He was also a Past Exalted Ruler of the Gainesville Elks Club.<br>
<br>
Gillespie, who was 77, was retired from CSX-Gainesville Midland Railroad where he worked for 34 years.<br>
<br>
Services will be Thursday at 2:00 at Little-Davenport Funeral Home chapel.<br>
