OAKWOOD- The tragic auto accident that claimed the life of West Hall senior Jenny Melton postponed the Northeast Georgia Mountains Soccer Cup matches schedule for Tuesday evening at the school.<br>

An announcement about a make-up date is scheduled for Wednesday.<br>

Elsewhere on the soccer field, matches were played.<br>

At Coal Mountain, North Forsyth shut-out the Johnson girls 2-0 in the Johnson Region 7-AAA opener. The Lady Knights (2-5-1) are scheduled at East Hall Thursday afternoon at 5:00.<br>

Also in girls' soccer, the 3rd-ranked team in AAA, Gainesville(4-4) knocked off Athens Academy 4-1. With all four goals, GHS senior Laura Dixon is within three goals of a new school record. Another Laura- Laura Wilson- holds the current record.<br>

The Lakeview girls (8-2) doubled up Dawson County in Dawsonville. Jessica Moses and Lisa McMahan had two goals each in the win for the Lady Lions who are scheduled to host Rabun Gap at 6:00 Friday evening.<br>

The North Hall girls had home field advantage in a narrow 3-2 win over Dacula. Ellen Shuler tallied twice and Andrea Cox had the other goal for the Lady Trojans who are set to host Central Gwinnett at 5:30 Friday.<br>

Playing at home, the Riverside boys walloped White County 8-0. Taylor Webb had a hat trick and Matthew Martin scored twice for the Eagles (5-0-1, 4-0 in Region 8-AA).<br>

Ian Balesky in goal got his fourth shutout of the season.<br>
