It was a busy day on the northeast Georgia soccer fields Thursday.<br>

Riverside stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 win at region 8-AA foe Union County.<br>

The Eagles (8-0-1, 7-0, 8-AA) got goals from Taylor Webb and Matthew Martin in the first half. Goalie Ian Balesky fell just shy of his fifth shutout of the year.<br>

West Hall swept Cedar Shoals in Oakwood; both teams winning one-goal decisions.<br>
<br>
The West Hall girls (11-2, 2-2, 8-AAAA) won 3-2 in two overtimes on a goal by Katie Wood. Jessica Williams scored on a penalty kick to force the OT, and assisted on the winner.<br>
<br>
The Spartans boys (9-4, 2-3, 8-AAAA) edged the Jaguars 4-3 behind two Jared Rigsby goals; and one each from Drew Piece and Ryan Smith.<br>
<br>
The number four ranked Johnson Knights (8-2, 1-2) were upset 2-1 at South Forsyth, as the War Eagles used a late Johnson defensive mistake to earn the win.<br>
<br>
The only Johnson goal came on a penalty kick by Philip Chittaro.<br>
<br>
The Eagles made it a sweep with a 6-1 win over the Lady Knights.<br>
<br>
On Friday night, the ranked Gainesville teams are scheduled at Fannin County. The GHS boys are rated number two. The Lady Elephants are seventh ranked.<br>
