Woman identified; Laurel County man charged with murder

LONDON, KENTUCKY - The identity of a female body found in Laurel County was identified as a 43-year-old Georgia native, Kentucky State Police said Monday. <br> <br> Tammy Griffin, originally from Brunswick, Ga., had recently moved to Annville, Ky., in Jackson County. A preliminary autopsy report showed that she died from strangulation, police said. Her body was found Friday. <br> <br> Frank W. Harris, 22, of London, was arrested and charged Saturday night with murder. He was also being charged with first-degree rape. <br> <br> Harris was being held in the Laurel County Detention Center. <br> <br> Another man, Phillip T. Johnston, 31, of London, was charged with falsely reporting an incident and was also lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. The reported incident was related to the murder investigation, police said.
