LAWRENCEVILLE - Operators of the new Gwinnett County Transit System are on the verge of buying additional buses - as they try to cope with more riders than they expected.
The service launched in November with a 17 bus fleet, since then the County has been challenged to accommodate the over one-thousand daily customers. Officials will meet later this week to discuss the option of buying up to five more buses.
The additional buses could be in service by Summer.
