Driver charged in death of teen who fell from truck

CANTON - The driver of a pickup from which another teen-ager fell to his death has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide. <br> <br> Zachary Alan Cochran, 17, of Holly Springs, could face up to a year in jail because of the accidental death of 15-year-old Joshua Reider on Jan. 22. <br> <br> The boys were moving a load of lockers for the Cherokee High School baseball team when Reider was ejected from the bed of the truck onto the asphalt. Police said speed was not a factor. <br> <br> ``They did a re-enactment using the same truck and were able to determine that it did not take much for the officer to slide off the back of the pickup,&#39;&#39; Detective German A. Rivas said.
