Cornerback brings unique name to Jackets

ATLANTA - Polytechnic Prep coach Dino Mangiero is accustomed to calling new Georgia Tech signee I-Perfection Harris by his preferred nickname -- ``I.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> As for the origin of Harris&#39; unique name, Mangiero never really asked the player for an explanation. <br> <br> Mangiero&#39;s Brooklyn, New York, school had an 8-0 record this past season. <br> <br> He says, ``You&#39;d have to ask his mother. She named her other son I-Supreme.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Harris, a five-foot-eleven, 180-pound cornerback from Staten Island, New York, was not available for comment, and Mangiero said he didn&#39;t have the player&#39;s home number. <br> <br> A track standout who ran a four-point-32-second 40-yard dash this past summer, Harris played running back, receiver and cornerback for Poly Prep. Harris, whose father Michael Vassell lives in Lawrenceville, had been recruited by Tech over the last year. <br> <br> Tech recruited him as a cornerback and return specialist. Harris, who chose the Yellow Jackets over offers from Penn State, Indiana and Duke, was one of five Division One-A signees from Poly Prep. <br> <br> Harris rushed for 1,150 yards and ten touchdowns and caught nine passes for 145 yards and three more scores this past season. He also had 36 tackles and four interceptions. <br> <br> Mangiero said, ``He&#39;s a gifted athlete. He can do a lot of things.&#39;&#39;
