DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Chase Montgomery won the pole Friday for the ARCA Discount Auto Parts 200, a race that will feature two women drivers. <br>

Montgomery's lap of 184.543 mph edged Billy Venturini (184.215) and Keith Segars (184.098). The 80-lap race precedes the Winston Cup Budweiser Shootout on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway. <br>

"The crew has put an insane number of hours at the shop for the past few weeks to put a good piece under me and it showed," said Montgomery, who will be making his first start at Daytona. "Hopefully, there's more of it to come." <br>

Tina Gordon will start ninth after running 182.043. Sunny Hobbs didn't make the field on speed but took the first provisional. She will start 35th. <br>
<br>
It'll be the first time two women have started an ARCA race since Sept. 3, 2000. <br>
