Body identified as missing University of Georgia student

SNELLVILLE - An autopsy confirmed Monday that a body found in the Yellow River was that of a University of Georgia student who had been reported missing. <br>

Authorities have identified the victim as Anson ``Brent'' Lanier, 24, of Snellville. The body was found about 5 p.m. Sunday after washing ashore in the back yard of a home off Georgia 78. <br>
<br>
Lanier's family reported him missing two weeks ago. They told police they feared he may have fallen into the river. <br>
<br>
Funeral arrangements are pending.
