Beat pick Kraus in WUSA draft

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA - The Atlanta Beat picked Santa Clara defender Anna Kraus in Monday&#39;s Women&#39;s United Soccer Association Draft. <br> <br> Atlanta traded its second-round pick to New York for future considerations, then drafted Texas A&M forward Nicky Thrasher in the third round and North Carolina goalie Kristin DePlatchett in the fourth. <br> <br> The teams drafted 323 players over four rounds Monday. <br> <br> Santa Clara defender Danielle Slaton was selected by the Carolina Courage on the first pick. <br> <br> The Beat took Kraus with the seventh overall pick.
