ATLANTA - Joseph Dunn scored 27 points, including five in overtime, to lead Morris Brown to a 77-72 victory over Jacksonville State Monday night for the Wolverines' first back-to-back wins in their initial Division I season.<br>

Larry Washington added 21 points for Morris Brown (4-21), which beat Savannah State 65-57 for on Saturday for its third victory of the season. <br>

Jay Heard led the Gamecocks (10-12) with 20 points and nine rebounds. <br>

Jacksonville State led by seven points twice in the first half but Morris Brown pulled within one, 32-31, at halftime. The two teams traded leads in the second period until the Gamecocks pulled ahead by seven again, 49-42, on Heard's free throw with 12:49 remaining. <br>

The Wolverines battled back, and Omar Barlett's free throw tied it at 66 with with 43 seconds left. <br>

Heard's steal with 10 seconds left in regulation gave JSU a chance to win it, but Emerson Brown missed a layup at the buzzer.
