Teacher makes bond in child molestation case

CARTERSVILLE - A middle school teacher in northwest Georgia is free on bond after being accused of molesting a child. <br> <br> Thirty-one-year-old Donald Morris Lovell Jr of Acworth was arrested Tuesday night. He is charged with child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and three counts of providing alcohol to a minor. <br> <br> Lovell was a teacher at Woodland Middle School in Bartow County. <br> <br> School Superintendent John Phillips Junior says Lovell resigned last month after allegations surfaced and the school board conducted an investigation. <br> <br> Phillips would not elaborate about the allegations but said the accusations did not involve any activities on school grounds. <br> <br> Lovell was released on $25,000 bond. He had been with the school system about five years.
