Three West Georgia baseball players face another charge

CARROLLTON - Three baseball players at the State University of West Georgia are expected in court Thursday after being arrested on a new charge. <br> <br> Michael L. Perez, 22, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Barry Allen Sommer, 21, of Eustis, Fla.; and Benjamin Bryant Hodges, 22, of Donalsonville were arrested Tuesday night after being free on bond. <br> <br> The three were initially arrested Monday on charges that they sexually assaulted a female student while she was unconscious in January. Police said the assault was on a videotape recovered while investigating an unrelated rape charge. <br> <br> Police have arrested the three on a new charge - aggravated sodomy in the Jan. 31 incident. <br> <br> The men have been suspended from the baseball team pending the investigation. They remain in jail.
