Georgia Southern loses to Bama on road

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA - Shortstop Carlos Sosa had three hits and second baseman Brent Boyd drove in three runs Friday as Alabama beat Georgia Southern 5-2. <br> <br> The Tide (2-0) trailed by two until the bottom of the fifth, when the Tide scored three. Alabama leads the all-time series 10-6. <br> <br> Georgia Southern (0-3) had the game&#39;s only home run, by Carlos Love. Brett Lewis (0-2) took the loss, allowing seven hits and four runs. <br> <br> Tide catcher Jeremy Brown had 12 putouts, and is now five away from setting an all-time Alabama record. <br> <br> Shane Sanders (1-0) got the win, giving up five hits and two runs. Brian Reed earned the save.
