ATHENS - The Lady Dogs have ended their four-game home losing streak. <br>

Sunday's 73-62 win over Number 14 Florida ended the longest stretch of home game losses under Coach Andy Landers -- now in his 23rd season at Georgia (16-8, 5-7 Southeastern Conference). <br>

Georgia last won at home on January seventh, a 105-36 rout of Morris Brown. After that game, Number 24 Georgia lost to South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Tennessee at home. <br>
<br>
In the game against Florida (17-8, 7-5 S-E-C), Mary Beth Lycett scored 20 points and freshmen Kara Braxton and Ebony Felder added 12 points apiece for Georgia. Brandi McCain led Florida with 16 points. <br>
<br>
Florida has won only twice before in Athens. <br>

Meawnhile in Atlanta Sunday, Georgia Tech's w basketball team suffered its fourth loss in five games yesterday when Number 20 North Carolina beat them 71-62. <br>

Regina Tate scored 18 for Tech (14-11, 7-8), and Sonja Mallory and Milli Martinez had 14 apiece. But it wasn't enough to stop the Tarheels. <br>
<br>
North Carolina (21-6, 10-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) had the biggest lead in the game when Carrie Davis' shot a baseline basket with two minutes, 28 seconds left in the half, but Tech got within 37-30 at halftime after closing with a 9-2 run. <br>
<br>
But in the second half, North Carolina outscored Tech 20-10 over the first eight minutes to grab a 57-40 cushion. <br>

Coretta Brown had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Candace Sutton and Kenya McBee scored ten points each for North Carolina <br>

The Lady Yellow Jackets play at Clemson on Thursday. <br>
<br>
The Georgia women host Western Kentucky Tuesday.
