Two lawsuits have been filed accusing the Tri-State Crematory and at least one of the funeral homes that sent bodies there of fraud. <br>

Lawyers for Marilyn Kleinfeldt Murphy filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Bradley County, Tennessee. Murphy's mother, Doris Mae Tierney, died in November 2000. <br>

A second lawsuit was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Rome on behalf of Elanor Kitter Dent. Her husband also died in November 2000. Details about that lawsuit are not immediately available. <br>

The Tennessee lawsuit claims Buckner-Rush Funeral Home in Cleveland, Tennessee, and its parent company evaded its duty to properly dispose of bodies by sending them to the crematory. The lawsuit seeks $100 million in damages from the funeral home company, Tri-State Crematory and its owner, Ray Brent Marsh. <br>

The manager of the funeral home in Cleveland -- Greg Rush -- told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he was unaware of the lawsuit but said his company has done nothing wrong. <br>

The court clerk in Walker County -- Bill McDaniel -- says no lawsuits have been field in the northwest Georgia county where the crematory is located.
