Peachtree City police Major Mike DuPree says 21-year-old Marlon Splain and 20-year-old Ahmad Maarous went to the campus of the school in Fayette County about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. They went to an athletic field where the baseball team was practicing.
Police say Splain - who now lives in Indiana - lifted up his shirt and one of the baseball players saw a silver handgun. The player told the coach who followed the two into the school building.
The coach confronted the two and said Splain threw the gun into a restroom trash can and fled. The coach called police.
