Boyd drove in Peter Stonard with his double in the third inning. Boyd scored the game-winning run on a costly error by second baseman Bryan Swift later in the inning. <br>

Brent Carter, making his first career start, got the win. He pitched seven innings, allowed five hits, one run and struck out four. <br>

North Alabama (6-5) scored its only run in the fourth inning off an error by shortstop Carlos Sosa. Nathan Bowden scored the run. <br>

Scott McClanahan's hitting streak was stopped at eight games. He went 0-for-4.
