GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO - A man accused of killing his wife and dumping her body in a landfill last fall in Colorado will stand trial for the slaying.
District Judge David Bottger Tuesday ruled there was enough evidence to try Michael Blagg on a first-degree murder charge. But he agreed to cut 39-year-old Blagg's one million-dollar bond to $500,000.
Bottger says if Blagg posts bond he could leave Colorado only to live with his mother in Georgia.
Blagg reported his wife Jennifer and six-year-old daughter Abby missing on November 13, 2001 after he said he returned home from work and found a large pool of blood in the couple's bedroom.
Jennifer's body was found in the Mesa County, Colorado, landfill in June. Blagg was arrested at his mother's house in Warner Robins.
