STATESBORO - Julius Jenkins scored 22 points to lead a balanced attack that carried Georgia Southern to a 112-85 victory over North Georgia Saturday night.<br>

Frank Bennett added 16 points and 12 rebounds and Kenny Faulk also had 16 points for the Eagles (3-1).<br>

Gainesville's Mark Causey scored 27 points and Kendrick Johnson 24 for North Georgia (3-5).<br>

The 112 points was the most for Southern since its 119-91 victory over Centendary on Jan. 16, 1992.<br>
<br>
The Eagles led 49-37 at halftime and stretched it to 70-48 with 12 minutes remaining.<br>

Jean Francois added 15 points and Courtney Joseph 10 for the Eagles. Maurice Simon added 13 for North Georgia.
