Jonesboro woman pleads guilty in fatal chase

FAYETTEVILLE - A woman charged in a high-speed chase that ended in a bystander&#39;s death has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge on the day her trial was to begin. <br> <br> Loraine McCrary, 37, pleaded guilty today to first-degree vehicular homicide. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison. She must serve 13 and a half years before becoming eligible for parole. <br> <br> She had been charged with murder in the death of Chuck Vicha, 41, of Peachtree City. He died when McCrary&#39;s SUV plowed into his minivan on July 27th. <br> <br> Luthersville police officers had chased McCrary across three counties after she fled a traffic stop in the Meriwether County town. She hit Vicha&#39;s vehicle while he was making a turn on Georgia 54.
