Panthers pound Paladins, 70-64

ATLANTA - After trailing by 10 points early in the second half, Georgia State started working the ball inside to two 6-foot-11 players and rallied to beat Furman 70-64 Wednesday night. <br> <br> Nate Williams scored 21 points and had 13 rebounds, and Reo Logan added seven points for the Panthers (3-1), who finished with 63 percent shooting in the second half. Outside, Leroy Davis scored 18 points with a pair of treys to balance the attack. <br> <br> GSU shot just 30 percent in the first half and trailed 23-21 at intermission. Furman (3-4) surged out on a 17-9 run to open a 40-30 lead with 15:36 to go. The Panthers scored nine straight in a 14-3 run that gave them a 44-43 lead less than four minutes later. <br> <br> Guilherme Da Luz paced the Paladins with 17 points, while Karim Souchu added 13 and Kenny Zeigler 12. <br>
