FLOWERY BRANCH - Michael Vick's shoes are headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
Atlanta Falcons spokesman Aaron Salkin said a staff member working for Joe Horrigan, the Hall's vice president of communications and exhibits, called Friday to request the shoes Vick wore in a 30-24 overtime victory at Minnesota last Sunday.
Salkin said, ``Mike was fired up. We'll send them up overnight.''
Vick's 173 yards rushing set an NFL single-game record for quarterbacks. Green Bay's Tobin Rote established the previous mark of 150 yards in a November 18, 1951 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Vick, who won the game with a 46-yard run, leads the Falcons with 648 yards rushing. His eight-point-one yards per carry rank first in the NFL.
Atlanta (8-3-1) visits Tampa Bay (9-3) in an NFC South showdown Sunday.
Dallas running back Emmitt Smith sent his shoes to the Hall after becoming the NFL's all-time leading rusher October 27.
