ATLANTA - Malcolm Campbell was 10-for-10 from the foul line, including 9-for-9 in the final 1:26 of overtime, as Alabama State defeated Georgia State 82-77 Thursday night for its first win of the season. <br>

It was the first non-conference home loss for the Panthers (3-2) since Dec. 29, 1999, when Kansas State beat GSU, and the third overall in the past 33 games. <br>

Keith Gamble led Alabama State (1-5) with 23 points, including 5-9 from 3-point range, while Campbell scored 21 and Alvin Pettway added 17 points and 11 rebounds. <br>

The Hornets, who had lost two one-point games, wre in control most of the game, leading 34-27 at halftime and 56-46 with 9:12 left. Georgia State rally led to a 3-pointer by Leroy Davis, which cut the lead to 63-62. <br>

Lamont McIntosh had a chance to win it for the Panthers with two foul shots with 42.9 seconds left. He missed the first but made the second to end regulation tied at 63. <br>

Georgia State's Nate Williams scored 25 points. McIntosh added 21 and Davis 16.
