ROCK HILL, S.C. - Tyrone Walker scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds leading Winthrop to a 62-54 victory over Morris Brown in the opening round of the Brothers Air and Heat Shoot Out at the Winthrop Coliseum on Friday. <br>

The Eagles (4-3) will face North Texas in the championship game on Saturday. North Texas defeated Weber St. 76-72 in the first game Friday. Weber St. and Morris Brown (1-5) meet in the consolation game. <br>

Walker hit two free throws with 2:51 left to give Winthrop a 53-52 lead and scored on a layup a minute later to increase the lead to three. <br>

Reshard Alonza and Larry Washington each had 15 for Morris Brown. <br>

Both teams struggled from the field. Winthrop hit just 36 percent (21-of-59) and Morris Brown shot 32 percent (19-59). <br>

The Eagles have won four out of their last five games.
