Four Gwinnett County high schools in football semifinals

Four high schools from Gwinnett County will play in the semifinals of the state football playoffs this weekend at the Georgia Dome, including Class AAAAA defending champion Parkview. <br>

The others are Brookwood, which is also in Class AAAAA, Buford and Greater Atlanta Christian, both Class AA programs. <br>
<br>
East Coweta (8-5) plays Parkview (13-0) Saturday at 9 p.m. in one of five games at the Georgia Dome. Camden County (13-0) faces Brookwood (12-1) at 9 p.m. Friday in one of the other five games. <br>

In AA, Americus (13-0) plays Buford (13-0) on Friday at noon and Early County (12-1) meets Greater Atlanta Christian (12-1) at noon on Saturday. <br>

In other games Friday, Thomas County Central (13-0) faces Marist (12-1) in Class AAAA; Laney (12-1) meets Dublin (13-0) in Class AAA; and Clinch County (13-0) plays Hawkinsville (12-1) in Class A.<br>

On Saturday, Thomson (13-0) faces Shaw (12-1) in Class AAAA; Gainesville (123-0) plays Screven County (13-0) in Class AAA: and Metter (12-1) meets Dooly County (7-6) in Class A.
