CORDELE - A man suspected of stealing ten dollars in gasoline is dead after a 30-mile police chase in south Georgia. <br>

The chase started about 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 75 in Crisp County. Authorities say the driver of a Honda Civic with a Camden County tag matched the description of a man who drove off without paying for ten dollars and 69 cents in gas at Williams Travel Center in Cordele. <br>

Deputies chased the suspected thief through Crisp, Turner and Tift counties. <br>
<br>
The Honda crashed, ejecting the driver, who was killed. <br>
<br>
Investigators have not released the victim's name nor confirmed that he was the gas thief.
