Sewak keeping track Georgia Southern

STATESBORO - First-year coach Mike Sewak knew what was expected of him when he took the Georgia Southern job -- lead the Eagles to a Southern Conference championship and a spot in the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs, if not another national title. <br> <br> So far, so good. <br> <br> Sewak has the Eagles, who have won six national championships, in the semifinals for the tenth time. Southern plays host to Western Kentucky Saturday at Paulson Stadium, where the Eagles have gone 29-and-1 in the postseason. <br> <br> The Eagles (11-2, 7-1) won their sixth straight league title, then beat Bethune-Cookman 34-0 in the first round of the playoffs before beating Maine 31-7 last week. <br> <br> Western Kentucky (10-3, 6-1 Gateway Conference) defeated Murray State 59-20 in its playoff opener before beating Western Illinois 31-28 last week on a field goal by Peter Martinez with 40 seconds left in regulation.
