GAINESVILLE - Residential construction eased somewhat last month November in Gainesville and Hall County.
The number of permits for new, single-family homes in the city declined from 38 in October to six in November, for homes expected to cost $792,000.
In unincorporated parts of the county, they dropped to 72 from 90; that new construction is expected to cost $11.6 million.
In addition, there were 56 permits issued in the city for $8 million worth of commercial/industrial construction, $6.5 million of that was for a new school.
