ATHENS - Former University of Georgia basketball player Tony Cole was arrested this week for trespassing.
Cole was arrested Tuesday after refusing to leave the weight room in the Ramsey Student Center, according to a police report.
He refused to follow an officer's order to leave and was placed in double-locked handcuffs, the report said.
University police banned Cole from using the facility for 90 days.
Cole and two other Georgia athletes faced charges earlier this year after a female student alleged she was raped in Cole's dormitory room in January.
Football player Brandon Williams was acquitted of rape and assault charges in Clarke County Superior Court in August. Charges against Cole, a senior guard, and teammate Steve Thomas, a junior forward, were dismissed following the acquittal.
