GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville funeral home and cemetery has been sold.<br>

Hillside on McEver Road has been bought by L.W. McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming. <br>

Lauren "Bubba" McDonald completed the sale Friday with former owner Johnnie Wiley.<br>
<br>
McDonald says there will be few changes except the name. It will become McDonald and Son's Hillside Chapel. It will be the fourth name in the funeral home's nine-year history.<br>
<br>
Hillside staff will stay the same. <br>
<br>
McDonald, a former Georgia public service commissioner, says he looks forward to being part of the Gainesville community.
