ATLANTA - An inmate who escaped from the Fulton County Jail has been captured Tuesday at a motel in Jackson, Tennessee, after five days on the run.
Twenty-two-year-old Quwan Rogers of College Park surrendered without incident shortly before 11 a.m. after police tracked him to the motel.
Rogers' uncle -- Dwight Jones -- also was arrested for hindering the capture of an escaped prisoner.
Police say Jones, a paramedic, gave inconsistent statements to officers and may have patched up Rogers' wounds and driven him to Greene County, midway between Atlanta and Augusta.
Rogers had been charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, aggravated assault and false imprisonment of a 13-year-old East Point girl last October.
