Girl who survives plane crash reunited with puppy

MACON - The 12-year-old girl who survived a plane crash that killed her mother and family friends has been reunited with the only other survivor: her puppy Sam. <br> <br> Kani Howard&#39;s mother -- 46-year-old Lisa Howard -- and three family friends died Friday night when their single-engine plane crashed into a wooded area northeast of Macon. Also killed were the pilot, David Pryor and his wife, Marilyn, both 46 years old; and the their five-year-old son, DaWit. <br> <br> Kani was treated for a cracked rib and a small puncture to her lung, left the hospital Monday. She saw her eight-month-old Pomeranian for the first time since the flight. The dog had survived the flight unharmed and was found by a motorist -- 32-year-old Tammy Nipper. <br> <br> Kani&#39;s father -- Wendell Webster -- says his daughter has not discussed the events of the crash. <br> <br> According to preliminary reports from the National Transportation Safety Board, the pilot had reported smoke in the cabin before the plane went down.
