FLOWERY BRANCH - Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Reeves got a little testy Wednesday when asked why he passed on former Georgia receiver Hines Ward in the 1998 draft.
Ward now stars for the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3), who play host to the Falcons (5-3) on Sunday.

Last year, Ward set a team record with 94 receptions. This season, he's fourth in the NFL and on pace for an even bigger season with 55 catches.
Four years ago, the Falcons had a chance to take the popular, hometown player in the third round. Instead, they chose another receiver, Miami's Jammi German.
Reeves said, ``Apparently at the time, we thought that was a better decision for us. To be honest, I don't remember. If I had known that Hines Ward was going to be the kind of player he is, then I guarantee you we'd have taken him.''
German lasted only three seasons with the Falcons. Plagued by injuries, he made 13 catches before he was released in training camp before the 2001 season.
Reeves' voice got angrier as he was pressed on the issue.
He said, ``Hindsight is really good. I could be the best draft guy in the world if I knew three years down the road where somebody was going to be.''
