Anthony Leon Johnson, 31, will stay under 24-hour supervision in a secure state hospital until if ever a judge rules he is mentally competent to stand trial.
Johnson's cousin, 21-year-old Albert Johnson, pleaded guilty in March 2000 to armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, aggravated assault and aggravated sodomy and was sentenced to life in prison.
