ATHENS - A book by University of Georgia journalism professor Conrad Fink has been translated and published by China's national news agency, Xinhua Publishing House.
``Writing Opinion for Impact'' is about investigative journalism and inquiring into government and other institutions.
Fink says translation by this official government arm signals a real loosening of government control over the media in China.
Fink, the author of eight journalism textbooks, teaches newspaper management, opinion writing, public affairs reporting and ethics. For 21 years, he worked with The Associated Press as a reporter, editor, foreign correspondent and vice president.
