ATHENS - Seventh-ranked Georgia is hurting at the receiver position, a worrisome predicament heading into Saturday's crucial game against Auburn.
Terrence Edwards is out. So is Damien Gary. Fred Gibson -- who underwent surgery on his thumb three weeks ago -- returned to the field last week and caught four passes for 97 yards in a victory over Mississippi.
Edwards -- who leads the team with 47 catches and ten touchdowns -- separated his right shoulder early in the fourth quarter and likely is out until the Southeastern Conference championship game on December seventh.
Gary has missed the last two games with a torn muscle in his left leg. After three surgeries, he might not return this season.
