BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Jeremy Martin threw for 351 yards and a career-high five touchdowns as Gardner-Webb beat Savannah State 44-13 on Saturday. <br>

The win was a school-record ninth at home for Gardner-Webb (9-1), which has won 13 of its past 14 games. <br>

Martin spread the ball around against Savannah State (1-8), hitting 10 receivers as he completed 24 of 37 passes. William Andrews caught five passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns, while Jahmelas Bryan also had five catches for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns. <br>

Savannah State relied on Ontreal Bowers for some offensive punch, handing him the ball 31 times in 73 plays from scrimmage. Bowers rushed for 118 yards and scored both touchdowns for Savannah State, while Clyde Tullis completed 7 of 17 passes for 99 yards and an interception. <br>

Bowers scored his first touchdown on a 5-yard run four plays after Savannah State recovered a Gardner-Webb fumble at the Bulldogs' 13-yard line early in the first quarter. <br>

Gardner-Webb scored 30 unanswered points on four TD passes from Martin and 22-yard field goal by Andrew Harmon before Bowers scored with a 2-yard run with 12:06 remaining. <br>

George Pressley also scored for the Bulldogs, running in from 69 yards with 35 seconds left in the game.
