Valdosta State completes undefeated season

CARROLLTON - Valdosta State beat West Georgia 19-3 Saturday to make the Blazers, second in NCAA Division II, undefeated in the regular season. <br> <br> Buster Faulkner passed to C.J. Lofton to score on the Blazers&#39; second possession, a two-yard cap on a 13-play, 69-yard drive. <br> <br> Early in the second quarter, Valdosta State (11-0, 9-0 Gulf South Conference) recovered a punt that bounced off West Georgia&#39;s Chris Mitchem, setting the Blazers up for a 23-yard Will Rhody field goal. <br> <br> Valdosta State set Rhody up for a 29-yard field goal moments later after Lofton blocked a West Georgia (3-8, 1-8) punt. <br> <br> West Georgia&#39;s only score came on a 28-yard field goal by Trevor Ramos on an eight-play drive that stalled on the Valdosta State 11.
