Teacher arrested in 12-year-old death of his father

ALBANY - Authorities in Albany have arrested a high school math teacher in the death of his father 12 years ago. <br>

Bill Scheer -- a teacher at Monroe High School -- was arrested Monday night on a murder charge. <br>
<br>
He is accused of killing 83-year-old William Henry Scheer on September 13, 1990. <br>
<br>
The older Scheer lived with his son and family. Prosecutors say the son left his job at school, returned home, hit his father in the head and returned to school. <br>
<br>
Prosecutors say the father was a wealthy, retired investor, and that Bill Scheer's motive was money. <br>
<br>
Scheer's lawyer, Pete Donaldson, says his client has an airtight alibi.
