Emory center receives more than $7 million for AIDS research

ATLANTA - Federal officials Tuesday awarded Emory University's Center for AIDS Research more than $7.3 million dollars for research. <br>

The five-year grant is from the National Institutes of Health. <br>
<br>
It will help AIDS research efforts at Emory College, the university's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and four teaching and research institutions at Emory's Woodruff Health Sciences Center. <br>
<br>
The center's efforts include prevention sciences, vaccine development and testing, clinical sciences and collaborations with international AIDS groups. <br>
<br>
It is one of 19 NIH-sponsored Centers for AIDS Research nationwide.
