Wright was only part of the problem for Savannah State (0-3), a first-year Division One team that was overmatched from the start. <br>

Purdue (3-0) built a 19-2 lead, forced 16 turnovers in the game's first 14 minutes and ended the opening half with a 49-14 lead. <br>

Purdue opened the second half on an 11-0 run and increased its lead to 60 midway through the second half. <br>

Five Purdue players reached double figures, including Beth Jones with 12 points and Mary Jo Noon with eleven. <br>

Savannah State was paced by Renee Williams, who scored 14 points off the bench.
