ATLANTA - Police have arrested a man suspected in the fatal stabbing of a 12-year-old boy and an 83-year-old man.
De'Kelvin Martin did not resist when police closed in on him in some woods in southwest Atlanta. He's been taken in for questioning.
Atlanta police spokesman John Quigley says a motorist recognized the 30-year-old suspect around 1 p.m. Tuesday less than a mile from the house where police found four people stabbed, two fatally.
Police say the boy, Savion Wright, was dead by the time officers arrived. His great-grandfather, Travis Ivery, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Martin's girlfriend, 33-year-old Tymeka Wright, was in stable condition at a hospital. Her grandmother, 77-year-old Ila Ivery, was in critical condition.
Atlanta police Sergeant Bob Creasy says there were obvious signs of struggle throughout the house. He says a butcher knife from the family's kitchen may have been used in the stabbings.
No word yet on whether Martin has been charged with any crime.
Martin -- who goes by the nickname ``Kebo'' -- served four years for a 1991 conviction for aggravated assault and robbery, according Department of Corrections spokeswoman Peggy Chapman. He was released from probation in November 1999.
