Chris Hatcher loves the aerial game he has installed at Valdosta State, making the Blazers one of Division Two's top powers on a perennial basis. He's not, however, adverse to showing a new wrinkle here and there -- mainly trick plays he doesn't like to call trick plays.<br>

Hatcher said, ``They're just special plays because we work on them in practice. They're momentum breakers.'' If he needs a momentum breaker in Saturday's Gulf South Conference visit to Ouachita Baptist, Hatcher won't hesitate to use it. The Blazers (4-0) are favored to beat Ouachita and may be able to ride through on the arm of Buster Faulkner without resorting to a little sleight of hand. Georgia's other GSC member, West Georgia (3-1), also hits the road this week for a conference date with Delta State (0-2). All three of the state's Division 1-AA teams also will be in action with Georgia Southern (2-3) entertaining VMI (2-2) in a Southern Conference game, Morris Brown (1-4) visiting Alabama State (2-2) and Savannah State (0-4) taking on Albany State (1-3) at Macon. In games involving Southern Intercollegiate Conference teams, Morehouse (3-2) takes on Kentucky State (1-3) in Columbus, Ohio, Clark Atlanta (2-3) visits Lane (1-3) and Fort Valley State (4-1) visits 1-AA Alcorn State (3-1).
