ATLANTA - Georgians have until Monday to register to vote in the November 5th general election.
People registered at their current addresses already are eligible to vote in the election. It will include races for governor, Congress, the state Legislature and local seats.

The election also will offer the nation's first statewide use of touch-screen voting.

The computerized voting units will be used in every precinct of Georgia's 159 counties.

Absentee ballots are expected to be printed and available by the end of next week in most counties.
As of last week, 3.7 million Georgians had registed to vote. That's down from the nearly 4.2 million who registered four years ago.
