CLEVELAND, Miss. - David Yeates rushed for 131 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown, to lead Delta State to its first win of the season - a 27-21 victory over West Georgia on Saturday.<br>

Delta State (1-4, 1-2 Gulf South Conference) led 20-7 at halftime on the strength of Yeates' run, a 9-yard touchdown run by Ricky Posselt and two second-quarter field goals by Bryan Walker.<br>

Delta State scored on an 8-yard TD pass from Spencer Johnson to Nick McCain to go up 27-7 with 12:28 left in the game.<br>

Bo Bartik threw two late TDs to bring West Georgia (3-2, 1 (2)- within 6. But Bartik's second TD pass, a 4-yarder to Corey Braddy, came with just 24 seconds left in the game.<br>

Johnson finished 7-of-12 passing for 85 yards.<br>

Bartik was 6 of 12 for 86 yards.<br>
